Hi, I'm new to this forum.  I have a Bachelor's in Forensic Psychology from Kaplan University, but I don't have any direct experience in the field.  I really want to do this for a living, but its hard trying to find jobs that don't require y ou have the complete experience in the field

Re: Getting a job

Hi, I am also in the same position as you.  I am a year away from graduating with a bachelors in biology, minor in criminal justice.  I wish to become a crime scene investigator after graduation, and eventually become a criminologist.  Currently I am only looking for internships, as I have not yet graduated, and also looking ahead to what requirements the field looks for.  I understand that many positions ask not only for a degree but also around 2 years of experience.  Anyone have advice where I can receive my first years of experience within the field??

Re: Getting a job

I, too, am also looking to find the required experience for an investigator position. I have a B/S in Psychology and Criminal Justice/Criminology. I am finding it extremely difficult to get started in this career path. I would love any advice or information if you find any and I will do the same. Thanks!
